Je reviens après un long moment d'absence, avec un article d'un genre un peu nouveau. En effet, j'avais envie de changer un peu et de partager ici, mes découvertes culturelles. Du coup, toutes les semaines, je vous donnerai mon humble avis sur 3 albums et 1 film que j'aurais vu puis peut être un livre ou une expo par-ci par-là !

I'm back after a while for an article which has nothing to do with fashion but I wanted to change a bit. Also, I wanted to share here my pieces of discovery when it comes to cultural things such as movies, books... So, each week, I'm going to give you my own point of view and feeling about some albums and movie. Maybe sometimes I will also share with you a loved book or exhibition!
Album # 1 The Fratellis - Here We Stand - 2008
Un groupe de rock écossais que je ne connaissais pas du tout et que j'ai vraiment beaucoup apprécié. Certains titres étaient beaucoup mieux que d'autres un peu mou, mais l'ensemble fut très sympa !
A Scottish group which I've never heard about before. Some songs are really good and some others are a bit flabby. Nevertheless the mix is nice and the album is still pleasant to listen to.
Album # 2 The Rambling Wheels - The 300'000 Cats of Bubastie - 2011
Un album mi-figue d'un groupe que je ne connaissais ni d’Ève, ni d'Adam. En fait, je me promenais sur Spotify à la recherche de groupes similaires à Fauve, quand l'agréable logiciel me proposa ce groupe sur lequel je cliquais sans crier gare. Moi j'appelle ça un demi-fail. Dans le fond c'est pas mal mais les seuls titres qui m'ont donné du plaisir à l'écoute sont We are all here et The Egyptian King Naked (dont j'aime bien le titre). Le reste est trop fouillis au goût de mes oreilles.
A half in earnest, half in jest album from a group I didn't know before. In fact, I was just wandering on Spotify looking for a group similar to Fauve when this amazing sofware suggested this group. I didn't think further and clicked on it out of the blue. I think it's an "almost fail". In deep, that's not that bad but only a few title caught my attention such as We are all here and The Egyptian King Naked (yes the title is one of the reason I like the song!). For the rest, it is too jumble for my ears.
Album # 3 Bigflo et Oli - La Cour des Grands - 2015
L'album commence fort avec le premier titre. Cependant, j'aime pas trop la voix robotique sur Le chemin sera long. Tu te calmes, on est pas dans Star Wars ! J'ai l'impression que l'album suit une certaine chronologie, celle de l'ascension du groupe toulousain. Ils se présentent, puis les titres s'enchaînent. Des sujets durs sont traités tels que la mort, l'angoisse du futur, la religion, les relations humaines; mais aussi des plus légers comme les soirées de merde, l'amour, l'amitié. Ce sont des chansons auxquelles on s'identifie rapidement. Les rimes sont riches et font penser au rap d'Akhenaton. C'est vraiment un très bon album d'une jeunesse talentueuse qui monte et qui en plus fait partie de mon terroir !
This album starts with a nice first track even if I don't really like the robotic voice on Le chemin sera long. (Calm down dude, that's not Star Wars !) Otherwise, I feel like the album follows a chronology, the chronology of the history of this group from the south of France. They deal with sensitive subjects such as death, religion, fear but also some more superficial as the shitty parties, love and friendship. They sing songs that we all can related to. Rhymes are rich and make me think about the French rapper Akhenaton. In the end, that is a very good album from a very talented young generation.
Film # 1 Moonwalker - 2015
Bon.. quand j'ai vu que mon idéal masculin jouait dedans, je n'ai pas hésité une seule seconde! Le résultat? Un film qui m'a fait penser par moment à du Tarentino #PulpFiction qui aurait ingéré un peu d'LSD. L'histoire est pas mal mais ça va un peu trop dans tous les sens et j'ai trouvé qu'il y avait beaucoup de longueurs dans les dialogues. Cependant, j'ai quand même adoré certains passages, certaines atmosphères riche en potentiel de screeshotage pour poster sur Tumblr. J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé les images d'archive qui closent le film et puis voila Rupert Grint quoi....
Ok, so when I saw that the love of my life was playing in this movie, I knew I had to watch it without any further thoughts! As a result, I saw a movie which made me think from time to time about some Tarentino movies (#PulpFictionohyeah). But in the case of this movie, Tarentino would have ingest some LSD! The story is interesting but I lost myself because it is going everywhere and nowhere at the same time! Furthermore, I thought it was very long sometimes in the dialogues. Anyways, I loved some extracts and some atmosphere which had a high power of fame on Tumblr. Also, I loved the archive images shown at the end !
